My Life

A thousand miles to close an empty heart
To find the words and bridge the distance, despair in the dark
A million fires lit together, surrender northern skies
I'm laying here, losing battles... to fall asleep tonight
When I was walking with your saliva on my tongue
And I could taste a shade of right from bitter wrong
Like it or not - I'm traveling light, and every step of the pain
There is still hope that sins will vanish, simply washed with the rain
Yeh, I'm strong
With a strength of new light
I'll just wait, here
For my life, for my life
So, in your sunlight, I will be standing still
In every smile I have captured, your lips are almost near
And I could swear in the morning, a dream is dimming dark
We pull ourselves a little closer from fainting apart
A few more hours, and you'll be coming here
A little late to save the darkness, the light is almost clear
And in the break of the night, when hope is fading fast
We're waiting here for the future, still trembling in the past
Yeh, I'm strong
With a strength of new light
I'll just wait, here
For my life, for my life
